About these terms
These terms and conditions govern your use of the Next Step Advisors website and the services we provide. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
Next Step Advisors is an independent advice, advocacy and support service based in England, United Kingdom.
Our services
Next Step Advisors provides independent advice, advocacy and support to adults, older people, disabled people, carers and families navigating health, social care and welfare systems.
We are not a law firm and do not provide regulated legal or financial advice. Our services are advisory and advocacy in nature. Nothing we provide should be taken as legal advice, and we accept no liability for decisions made on the basis of our guidance.
We reserve the right to decline to provide services to any individual at our discretion.
Fees and payment
Your first 15-minute telephone consultation is free of charge. All other services are chargeable. Fees are as set out on our Pricing page and are starting prices — the final cost depends on the complexity and time required for your case.
We will always discuss and agree the cost with you before any work begins. No work will be carried out without your prior agreement to the fee.
Payment terms will be agreed at the time of engagement. We reserve the right to suspend or cease services where agreed fees remain unpaid.
Confidentiality
We treat all information you share with us as strictly confidential. We will not disclose your personal information to any third party without your consent, except where required by law or where necessary to provide the services you have requested (for example, contacting a relevant authority on your behalf).
Please see our Privacy Policy for full details of how we collect, use and protect your personal information.
Your responsibilities
You agree to provide us with accurate and complete information relevant to your case. We cannot be held responsible for outcomes arising from incomplete or inaccurate information provided by you.
You are responsible for any decisions you make based on our advice or guidance. We will always aim to give you clear, accurate information, but the final decision on any course of action rests with you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Next Step Advisors shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of our website or services, including any indirect, consequential or financial loss.
We do not guarantee any particular outcome from our advice, advocacy or support services. Benefits, social care and other decisions are made by third-party organisations and are outside our control.

Cancellations and appointments
If you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, please give us as much notice as possible. We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee for appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice.
Governing law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
